What is SD-WAN?
SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) is a specific application of software defined networking (SDN) applied to WAN connections. It is used to connect enterprise networks (corporate branches, data centers, etc.) over large geographic distances. Previously, WAN was designed using special proprietary hardware.
