What is SD-WAN?
SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) is a specific application of software defined networking (SDN) applied to WAN connections. It is used to connect enterprise networks (corporate branches, data centers, etc.) over large geographic distances. Previously, WAN was designed using special proprietary hardware.
SD WAN moves network control to the cloud using a software approach. Read our SD-WAN flyer to learn more!
Reduce MPLS Costs
Capitalize on SD-WAN’s inherent ability to route traffic across multiple links to reconfigure your transmission process across MPLS and broadband connections.
Optimize application performance with direct, secure access to enterprise and cloud applications. Consolidate monitoring and visibility across WAN links and providers.
Enable multiple links, devices, and services to coexists with incumbent solutions and management/reporting systems while prioritizing traffic across your network.
GETTING STARTED
SD WAN is relatively easy to implement into test environments as opposed to the rip-and-replace approach required to convert legacy networks to SDN. So it’s no surprise that Gartner predicts 30% of enterprise will have deployed SD-WAN in their branch locations by the end of 2019.
